10 Best Pumpkin Plots in Dallas, Fort Worth for 2022

Autumn is here! If you’re celebrating by pulling on your sweaters and eating pumpkin spices, you’re celebrating the season well. If you’re in the south and still sweating, sorry. Autumn is coming soon! Right?

Pumpkins and mini pumpkins are my favorite decoration items, so you can imagine that I love pumpkin patches. I wait all year to buy colorful autumn things. True story.

We moved into our new house last October and I kept myself waiting to buy small pumpkins and gourds until we were at the new house. Before I unpacked the boxes or started settling in, I bought handfuls of colorful pumpkins to decorate our new shelves. Priorities!

If you’re looking for pumpkin patches in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to visit this year, there are plenty of places to go. Below is a complete overview of DFW pumpkin patches to choose from. So, sip on a pumpkin spice latte and read about all the fall activities in the area.

Where: Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Rd., Dallas, Texas

When: September 17 – October 31, 2022

Which: 100,000 pumpkins decorate amazing scenes as part of the Autumn Tale theme. Get ready for all the photo ops because the combination of pumpkin, pumpkin and gourd is phenomenal. For the little ones there is a labyrinth. During the week, every Monday and Tuesday until October 25th.th, there are “Mommy and Me” Mondays and “Tiny Baby” Tuesdays, which have a petting zoo and story time. Don’t forget to come back for Christmas and New Year. The Dallas Arboretum hosts many great activities for kids all year round.

Where: St. James Episcopal Church, 9845 McCree Rd., Dallas, Texas

When: 1 – 31 October 2022

Which: St. James Episcopal Church fills its field with huge gourds and gourds every year. You have the opportunity to take holiday photos or have a face-to-face photo taken. And you know that any purchase benefits the St. James Youth Group Programs.

When: September 17 – November 23, 2022

Which: You can spend the whole day on the farm. The farm has more than just beautiful pumpkins to choose from. There is a contact barn where you can go and feed the animals. You can get lost in the giant hay maze. You can choose to travel by hay or by train. When you get hungry, there is a cafe on site.

Expenses: weekdays $12 per person, weekends $15 per person. On weekdays, entry includes one small pumpkin, pet bard food, hay rides, a rope corral, and a hay maze.

Where: Grove Hill Farms, 5285 FM 1553, Leonard, Texas

When: Weekends in October 2022 are Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00.

Which: Entrance includes access to a pumpkin patch, where you arrive in a van pulled by a tractor. The petting zoo is a lot of fun with adorable bunnies you’ll want to take home. You have a selection of games scattered all over the field. And be prepared to take a lot of shots at organized photo shoots.

Where: Base Family Farm, 1232 E Fork, Rockwall, Texas

When: September 24 – October 30, 2022

Which: This family run farm has it all. The petting zoo is full of llamas, sheep, donkeys and pigs. Near the farm you can ride hayfields. The hay maze is the perfect challenge for the little ones. There are pumpkin storyboards to guide you along the hiking trail, and of course pumpkins in all shapes and sizes to choose from.

Where: Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze, 3420 Hall Johnson Rd., Grapevine, Texas.

When: September 30 – October 30, 2022

Which: You have a wide selection of pumpkins, everything from Cinderella pumpkins, sweet pie pumpkins, large and small pumpkins. 2 acres of densely planted 8-9 foot high corn makes the corn maze challenging for all ages. Conventional hayfields run approximately every 30 minutes, tickets can be purchased in advance.

Expenses: Weekends aged 12 and over are $15, children 4-11 are $10 (under 3 are free) cash only.

Which: There are hundreds of different sized pumpkins for you to choose from. All the fall fun is available: hay rides, a hay bale maze, and even a playground with trains and trucks.

Expenses: Entrance is $20 per car.

When: Weekend in October 2022

Which: If you are looking for games and entertainment, this farm has plenty of options. Some of the activities include the GaGa ball, rat roller, sack racing, hay jumping, hay rolling, human foosball and maze. And with 100,000 pounds of squash and pumpkin and Indian corn, you may find exactly the pumpkin and fall decor you’re looking for.

Expenses: USD 15 per person includes all activities and one pumpkin

When: October 1 – October 31, 2022

Which: You can support North Texas Animal Connections by providing a one stop shop for all your seasonal decorating needs. All proceeds go to support the animals living at The Gentle Zoo. So support the animals and choose pumpkins, zucchini, corn and straw hay.

Expenses: $10 for children aged 3 to 12 and $12 for children 13 and older.
