Chase currently has three Ink cards in its business card portfolio. Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is a flat-rate card with no annual fee that offers a $750 refund when you spend $7,500 within the first three months. Similar Credit Card Ink Business Cash® is also a no-annual fee card that offers $750 after you spend $7,500 within the first three months. However, instead of a flat fee rate, the Ink Business Cash Card offers bonus rewards in popular business spending categories such as telephone services and office supply stores.

Completes the Ink Business package Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, known for its excellent signup bonus of 100,000 points if you spend $15,000 in the first three months. This credit card has a $95 annual fee and offers bonus rewards in popular spending categories.

Which card is better in the first year?

The Ink Business Unlimited and Ink Business Cash cards are very similar – both offer a $750 signup bonus and neither has an annual fee. The cards, however, have very different reward structures: the Ink Business Cash card offers a cash back bonus of up to 5 percent for certain spending categories, while the Ink Business Unlimited card offers a flat rate of 1.5 percent on every purchase. On the other hand, the Ink Business Preferred Card offers up to 3 points per dollar on popular business purchases.

In the table below you can compare the three cards:

For a flat rate cash back card, the Ink Business Unlimited Card brings decent rewards. However, the Ink Business Cash Card takes the lead with cash back in several bonus categories.

Of course, the biggest earner of these is the Ink Business Preferred Card, due in part to its enticing 100,000 points sign-up bonus. In addition, this credit card earns 1.25 cents each when used to book travel through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal.

Who is eligible for the signup bonus?

Chase Ink Business card enrollment bonuses are only available to new cardholders who have not received a new Card Member Bonus within the past 24 months. Of course, you also need to be a business owner. In addition, you must have a credit score in the excellent range (at least 750).

While Chase doesn’t seem to have a hard limit on the number of cards you have, it may reject your application if you have too much of a credit limit on your other Chase cards. Another thing to consider is that the unofficial Chase 5/24 rule may prevent you from getting a Chase card if you have opened five or more credit cards from any issuer in the last 24 months.

Best Ways to Use 100,000 Bonus Points

Chase offers cardholders several different ways to redeem their Ultimate Rewards points. As you can see from the table below, a point is worth 1 cent when redeemed for statements, direct deposits and gift cards. However, as mentioned earlier, you’ll get the most value from your points when you use your points to travel in the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal with the Chase Ink Business Preferred Card, which increases each point by 25 percent.

Is it worth applying now?

With signup bonuses of $750 and 100,000 points, now is the time to apply for a Chase Ink business card. However, the best card for you depends on your business needs and what you are looking for in a card.

For example, if you own a business and spend a lot of money each year on internet, cable TV, phone service, and stationery, the Ink Business Cash Card might be your best option. If you spend a large amount of money on business travel every year, you can earn more rewards from the Ink Business Preferred Card. And if you’re interested in getting the same rate on every purchase and don’t want to keep track of spending categories, then Ink Business Unlimited might be the right card for you.
