Even though the economy is starting to falter and mortgage rates are rising, home prices are rising across the United States. However, the most expensive zip codes are on the east and west coasts of the country, with the majority in California. Here are the ten most expensive zip codes in the United States.

1. Atherton, California (94027)

Atherton, California is the epicenter of Silicon Valley money and has nothing but cutting-edge real estate. Not only do many celebrities live here, but it also has a very low crime rate – median house sale price in 2022: $7,900,000.

2. Sagaponack, New York (11962)

Sagaponack, New York is located in the Hamptons, which many immediately recognize as one of the richest places in the United States. Surprisingly, Sagaponak is best known for its long history as a pristine land for growing potatoes by the sea.
