The app is easy to use and perfect for novice investors, but can you really make money with it? Yes you can – With these tips, you can easily add an extra $ 500 or more to your investment account every year!

1. Automate your savings
I’m a big fan of everything automated. If I need to remember to transfer $ 100 from my checking account to my investment account every month, I will most likely forget to do so 9 times out of 10.

When you make a purchase, the Acorns app automatically rounds up the difference and transfers it to your investment account. For example, if you buy a $ 3.40 cup of coffee, Acorns will round up to $ 4 and add $ 0.60 to your investment account.
This is a very easy way to “earn” extra money behind the scenes. Yes, I know it doesn’t technically make money, but it allows you to throw off extra money without even feeling a blow to your wallet.
If you choose, you can also increase the number of reviews by up to 10x, so instead of saving $ 0.60 on a $ 3.40 cup of coffee, you could save up to $ 6. This is a great way to boost your investment and fund your account faster.
Take: Automatically round off your purchases and transfer the difference to your investment account. If you have 50 transactions per month at $ 0.50 each, that’s an extra $ 25 per month or $ 300 per year!
