How much do World of Hyatt points cost?
As noted above, Hyatt Points cost approximately 1.7 cents per point, but the actual cost may vary depending on how you choose to use your points. Award nights in a standard room usually offer the highest redemption value, so choosing other redemption options may reduce the value of your points.
Pros and Cons of Mira Hyatt
The World of Hyatt program offers many benefits for many travelers, but it’s not perfect. This is not the most flexible hotel rewards program and may not suit your needs. Here’s a look at the pros and cons of World of Hyatt:
pros
- Standard Award Nights start at just 5,000 Hyatt Points.
- Offers a wide range of brands and accommodation options
- Relatively easy to keep your points from expiring
- Offers a strong elite status program
- You can use points to upgrade the package
- Has a large network of transfer partners
Minuses
- Has a smaller global presence than other major hotel brands.
- Does not offer a cash repayment option
- It can be difficult to find prizes in popular destinations, especially during peak hours.
How to choose a World of Hyatt credit card
Hyatt only has two co-branded credit cards, the World of Hyatt Credit Card and the World of Hyatt Business Credit Card. Both cards are of great value, especially for those who frequently stay at Hyatt hotels. The World of Hyatt Business Credit Card is designed for small business owners and entrepreneurs and may not be suitable for everyone. It also has a higher $199 annual fee compared to the $95 annual personal card fee.
The World of Hyatt Consumer Card also includes an annual free night bonus at Category 1 to 4 hotels, as well as an additional free night at Category 1 to 4 hotels each year when you spend at least $15,000.
It’s hard to go wrong with any World of Hyatt map. However, if you are looking for more flexibility from your travel card, you should consider the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card or the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card. Both offer maximum flexibility, including the ability to transfer points to the World of Hyatt program.
bottom line
The World of Hyatt offers a host of benefits for the frequent traveler at mid-to-luxury resorts around the world. While not the most flexible program, it is still the best option, especially for Hyatt supporters and people interested in luxury perks and elite status.
